For my first house EVER, I wanted to do something I could never do in an apartment - go crazy.

I always liked the way black and white looked with lime green, so I decided to just go for it in my kitchen and eating area since the counter tops had a gray/white/black stone look.  So this is what I did (on a very tight budget).

BEFORE:

First, I had the walls painted in Fluorescent Lime by Valspar.

I painted the cabinets white since I love the look of bright white against the lime.  I also replaced the hinges and handles with chrome ones.

 AFTER:

I bought my first kitchen table, chairs, and bar-stools from Wal-Mart and Target online.

After adding some fun and thrifty finds from the Salvation Army store, I was finished!  (Although more may be added later.)
